The Purpose of Camp Fire: The purpose of Camp Fire is to provide, through programs of informal education, opportunities for youth to realize their potential and to function as caring, self-directed individuals responsible to themselves and to others; and, as an organization, to seek to improve those conditions in our society which effect youth.
 About our Council: Camp Fire USA North Oakland Council is a nonprofit, youth development organization that provides a variety of programs benefiting children and youth. We are located in Waterford, Michigan and service the school districts of Avondale, Pontiac, Clarkston, Fenton, Lake Orion, Oxford, Brandon, Rochester, Waterford and West Bloomfield, Swartz Creek, Columbiaville, Lapeer and Imlay City. Camp Fire programs build self-esteem, promote healthy lifestyles, develop character, teach leadership skills, and emphasize social responsibility. And they're FUN!
